Shifting Perspective on History.

25 years ago I began writing my history. As I wrote I would keep writing a particular scenario over and over . The resolution came from seeing the story from different perspectives. So much relief occurred the more I did this work.

I was on a rooftop in Mexico with my Mum. We were sitting by the pool in lounge chairs. I was having an epiphany from writing my history over and over. I excitedly turned to ask her: ” If you could rewrite your history what would you do?” She replied: ” I cannot rewrite my history. I was married ya know!” I did not understand her answer. I asked again: “But if you could rewrite your history, with the wisdom you have today, what changes?” She replied: “I could not, I was married!!!!” I said: “But you are not married now.” She broke out in such forceful laughter she propelling herself flipping over the lounge chair and onto the floor! Now that is an epiphany!
